Travelling

23.11.2020

According to the measures decided by the Finnish Government 12 March 2020, travel for work is discouraged unless it is absolutely necessary, and holiday trips should be postponed. Discuss rescheduling your agreed travel for work with your employer.

On 12 March 2020, the Finnish Government issued a recommendation for people returning from areas affected by the epidemic to discuss the date of their return to work and their absence (two weeks) with their employer. Remote work is preferred if made possible by the work tasks. If remote work is not possible due to the nature of the employee’s work tasks, the employer and the employee must agree on absence and potential reimbursement.
